This week I’m going to write about my phobia and it is hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia means irrational fear of pronouncing long or complicated words but it is something paradoxical because how can I say to someone what is my phobia?

It started when I was 8 years old and I read “ciclopentanoperhidrofenantreno” in a physiology book. I couldn’t continue reading; I closed the book, threw it away and I ran out of the library.

When I read or pronounce a long or complicated word I feel nervous, I begin to sweat and can’t continue whit the word so when I must study and there is a complicated word I don`t study the item and after I get bad marks. Or when in the tests there is a long word I don`t answer the question because I can`t think in other thing when I’m front of these strange words.

Friends, this is terrible I can`t stand it.
